After they booked me to document their wedding in September, Michel and Tim asked me to do a winter engagement session before their wedding in September of 2017. It is not very often that I get a couple who is ready to leave the coziness of their home for an outdoors engagement session in the middle of a frigid Chicago winter so I was all for it. To be honest, this winter hasn’t been that bad I have to admit, but the day we choose was not the warmest either. We lasted through it and made some amazing and beautiful images, and captured some great moments. As it turns out it was the only snow we had this year as of right now, and we managed to capture some of it. For our location we choose a University of Chicago Campus. It’s a peaceful place, not too much going on around, and you can walk around, explore, take photos, and you never know what door you may be able to open. In the summer it provides amazing greenery, super colorful foliage in the Fall, and in the Winter time, you can see all amazing brown stone buildings, that provide amazing architectural detail. Some of the favorite images I captured can be seen below. If you are looking for a wedding photographer in Chicago let’s get in touch and talk about your wedding.
