One of the Cafe Brauer weddings we documented, was actually one of my most favorites of all time. I actually can’t believer it took me this long to write about it, and share wedding photographs from this wedding in Chicago. I met with Daniel and Kai at the local coffee shop for our initial meeting, and one thing I was struck immediately was their positive energy. A true perfect fit for each other, these two glow with amazing energy, and their constant laughter is absolutely contagious.
For their wedding, they chose an amazing Cafe Brauer, a wedding venue located near the ZOO in Chicago’s neighborhood of Lincoln Park. A truly unique and one of a kind venue, that I absolutely loved. It’s vintage, has character, kind of lofty feel, but not a loft. The views of the city, and nature board walk in Lincoln park are absolutely breathtaking.
While Danielle was getting ready, I witnessed one of the most beautiful moments, ever since I started photographing weddings. Her father walked in to the room, to help her put the shoes on, and her mother stading and watching there, was a perfect opportunity to capture this family truly enjoying and embracing every single moment!
Details at the Cafe Brauer were absolutely stunning. Floral arrangements Daniel Picked for the wedding were a perfect match with the space, and everything just had a beautiful flow and style.
One of my most favorite things on a wedding day is sneaking out with bride and groom just after the sunset to capture some blue hour photography. The views from Lincoln park are just stunning and what a better place than to do this than right next to Cafe Brauer.
