Recently I had a true pleasure of documenting Vanessa’s and Glenn’s wedding at Armour House in Lake Forest. From the moment we met to discuss their wedding photography vision, it felt like an amazing fit. Glenn and Vanessa both have funny, and ongoing personalities, and I knew that capturing this would endless fun.
How did He Propose
Vanessa and Glenn met at the bar in downtown Palatine in 2014. After a few years of dating, Glenn decided to propose while they were visiting friends at their lake house in Wisconsin. They had a photoshoot scheduled, and while taking photos on the dock, Glenn went down on one knee and proposed.

What About That Staircase
The famous staircase at the Armour House is something you can’t miss! Situated in the reception room it ads a perfect fairy tale touch to your wedding. This staircase was built by original owner Jonathan Armour with the primary purpose in mind that their daughter, would descend the curving stairway on her wedding day, which she did in 1921. The staircase was a highlight of every wedding at Armour House we photographed.
