Natalie + Mark Chicago Wedding
Natalie and Mark got in touch with me in the spring of 2016 asking if I would be interested in shooting their wedding in October. We met at an amazing Langham Hotel in Chicago, and I felt I was an instant fit for their wedding. It was a small very intimate wedding, and Mark and Natalie were surrounded only by their closest family. At weddings like these I always feel very privileged to be there and be part of such a close group people to them.
We started with getting ready photographs at the hotel and spend couple of hours taking formal portraits of the bride and the groom. I knew Natalie and Mark did not want to see each other before the ceremony, so we had to navigate and make sure they do not run in to each other.
On our way to ceremony which was at Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church, I asked Natalie to open the window of the Limo we were in, and captured the photo below. To me it’s a wedding classic, a photo of a bride in a Limo, so dramatic, but still very soft and emotional.
When at Langham hotel, their Pink Taxi is a MUST USE photo prop. I wanted to capture it but still keep focus on Mark and Natalie, which meant getting creative with my lighting. I placed few flashes in and around the car and captured Pink Taxi photos.
