When shooting an engagement session in Chicago, your options are limitless. For the session with Stephanie and Adrian I choose a little bit more obvious locations like Museum Campus and University of Chicago Campus on south side. Stephanie and Adrian are having a winter wedding in Tinley Park at a beautiful Odyssey Country Club, and Stephanie was particularly worried about getting good shots as in December we might be too cold. One of her ideas for her crative session for a wedding was to drive all the way from Tinley Park to Chicago to get city shots. In order to avoid looking a lot of time in traffic on her wedding day I suggested that our engagement session should take place in the city of Chicago, and for the wedding we would find something closer to the venue where they are getting married.
We started off the session at a beautiful University of Chicago campus. It’s a such a great and historical location offering plenty of opportunities for a great photographs and with that in mind is one of the favorite locations for Chicago wedding photographers.
For our second location, as we did want the city in our photos, the obvious one was the Museum Campus, that provides an opportunity of getting some of the best views of Chicago Skyline, especially during the night once the lights go on. We got there just in time for the blue hours, which is one of my favorite times to shoot.
