January of 2020, just after the Holidays, we had a pleasure of documenting a very dreamy winter wedding for Yeshua and David, at Imago Events in Elgin. Yeshua and David first met at Church. It was David’s first official day as the Youth Pastor and Yeshua’s first day volunteering. After running a half marathon at Starved Rock, David decided it was time to propose. It would be the same church where they met and served, that they would get engaged at. When Yeshua arrived at the church her friend Chelsea guided her inside leading her to the sanctuary. The room was dark so Yeshua was confused at the idea of going inside the sanctuary. When the doors opened there was a path of candles leading to the Altar were David was standing in the middle of a light of hearts on the floor. He gave her flowers and they watched a beautiful presentation of their journey. Then, Dave got on his knees and asked the most important question, with no hesitation Yeshua said YES.
On their wedding day they choice of colors would be very earthy with a lot of beige and evergreens. We started of the day with Yeshua getting ready and Chelsea’s house, a beautiful modern home that would provide us with amazing canvases for their wedding day and pre-ceremony wedding portraits. They wrote each other a letter, that they would read during their prayer together, without seeing each other before the ceremony. A moment truly filled with genuine and strong emotions. After saying YES, and their first kiss as husband and wife, we drove off to Geneva IL, for some bridal party portraits, before heading back to Imago events. The day was cold, therefore, we carefully chose locations, and detailed the timeline, so we do not spend too much time in the cold weather. Image Events provided some amazing opportunities for bridal party portraits, and group shots which definitely helped us stay warm.
